Fix some spelling errors
    
    The opposite of 'gain' is 'lose', not 'loose'. 'Loose' is the
    opposite of 'tight'.
    
    Also, it's 'formatting', not 'formating'. I also rewrote one
    particularly awkwardly worded message to mean what (I think) it
    was supposed to mean.
